About

Tracy Krasczyk

Tracy knew she was going to be a teacher when she was very young.  She always took charge all of the children at family events, babysat all of the children in the neighborhood, and really enjoyed helping these children learn and discover new things.  At 14 years old she got her first job teaching gymnastics for the City Of Ventura Parks and Recreation, in this same year she had her first solo performance at church.  It was then that she knew that she wanted to pursue music.  She already played the piano but she begged her mother to put her into voice lessons, guitar lesson and theater.  Her love for music grew and grew and she became more confident in performing she also starting writing music.  Her path led her to many different teaching positions over the next few years, she taught swimming and was a lifeguard through high school.  In college she aided in special education classes.  Finally she found her home at Carden, she began as the physical education teacher, and years later she moved into leading the music program. 16 years have gone by now and Carden has a very strong music program.  Piano, voice, guitar, mandolin, and ukulele are just some of what the children learn in music classes.  Tracy continues to try to inspire the children she teaches by using modern technology, 5th grade does a digital music project where they write, compose, record, and make a music video using Garage Band and Imovie.  She also wants the music they study and perform to be relevant to the children, music that is inspiring, and uplifting.

In addition to teaching music classes at Carden, Tracy is involved with many other aspects of the school.  She helps with all of the class plays throughout the school year. Helps with assemblies, and also runs many after school performance classes, Funtastic Fridays, and also the Father Daughter and Mother Son Dances.

Tracy's daughter Bree grew up at Carden and is now almost 18 years old. Her son Joey JR is attending Carden now and will be in JR-K this school year, she looks forward to many more years to come!
