The children have music class twice a week for 30 minutes.  We will be covering a lot this year but will be having lots of fun in the process.  We will be learning and expanding on our music theory, vocal training, rhythm instruments, dancing, and once a month we will be having a music appreciation lesson.  Music appreciation for grades K-2 will be a cultural lesson from around the world. We will look at and discuss types of instruments, clothing, music, and dancing from different places around the world. Kindergarten and 1st grade have group piano lessons beginning in January.  Half of the class will have a lesson on one of our electric keyboards and the other half of the class will work on an assignment having to do with our piano lesson. K-5th grades will have two performances throughout the year, the Holiday Show on Dec. 20th at 8:30am and the Spring Sing on May 1st at 8:30am.
