The lower school students, (Pre-School, Pre-K, and JR-K), come for music class once a week in the auditorium for 30 minutes.  In music class we work on beginning music theory including note names on the treble clef staff, note value, the names of symbols, and how to read music from left to right.  The way I teach is very hands on and interactive. We use rhythm instruments to play what we are learning. We also use felt and wipe off boards to sing, hold, and draw our lessons. In addition to these lessons we always have a great time in class singing and dancing using the parachute, ribbon wands, and lots more!  Once a month we have music appreciation.  In these lessons we learn about music, dancing and culture from around the world.
